How might we: mockup our designs more easily?

While working on my portfolio I got frustrated with the existing options for mocking up my work on a Macbook. Mockups were often in odd sizes & png format, making resizing undesirable due to loss of resolution. The thought I kept having was: "this is way more of a time sink than it has any right to be."

After more fruitless searching I hit the milestone all designers know well: where you decide to just build your own. The time already invested in looking around gave me a good starting point for what I liked and didn't like about other mockup resources. With a bit of extra experimentation and polish I had a fresh creation to try out for my portfolio case studies.

Test, validate, and give back

This version is completely vector for effortless resizing, and comes with the inside screen already scaled perfectly for the default desktop width in Figma (1440px).

Using my new mockup was far and away a better experience, saving me time on the creation side and showcasing my work with excellence.

And now it's my turn to pass it forward to the design community that I've received so much from. I hope it can make other designer's lives a little bit better, and serve as another step for others to iterate on and take even further.
